There is unfortunately not an option to purchase the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1968 for your 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser without the attachment arms. The positive side of this is you will have an extra set of arms should any of them get lost or damaged.
Since you mentioned that you already have a tow bar, to complete your flat tow setup you will also need wiring for lights, a supplemental braking system, and safety cables if your tow bar did not come with them.
I recommend the Roadmaster... view full answer...

Although adapters are made for joining different size hitches and accessories, you cannot use one in your application. Your vehicle itself cannot handle the 500-lb combined weight of the power chair and carrier, but more than that, using an adapter would cut the hitch capacity by 50-percent. This would absolutely be an unsafe situation.
Your only method for transporting the Jazzy power chair on this particular vehicle is a small utility trailer that you could tow with one of the Class... view full answer...

Both the Curt 1-1/4 Inch Hitch, part # C11132 and the Draw-Tite 1-1/4 Inch Hitch, part # 24759 for your 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser are very similar hitches. They both have a 200-lb tongue weight capacity. The difference in the two hitches is the Curt hitch does not require any drilling to install and the Draw-Tite requires two 1/2 inch holes to be drilled in the frame.
The Draw-Tite might take a little longer to install due to the drilling of the frame. The Curt hitch uses 4 bolts on each... view full answer...

Reversing with a tow dolly is a pretty dangerous idea. You will end up damaging the dolly and/or steering components of the vehicle so it's always best to only pull forward when connected to a dolly. If you need to reposition you'd have to disconnect to back up. view full answer...

Not all vehicles can handle the additional amperage draw of the trailer taillights on the vehicle taillight circuits. Those vehicles need setup that draws power from the battery. Some vehicles have higher rated circuits that can handle this, and others need to have the power drawn straight from the battery to protect the taillight circuits. If you ran the power wire to a power source other than the battery you'd be voiding the warranty of the harness and would be potentially putting your... view full answer...
To tow a vehicle, you will need more than just the tow bar.
